Brownville Village Theatre
Where Is BVT?
The Brownville Village Theatre is located in the southern part of Nebraska right on the border of Nebraska, Missouri and Iowa. Brownville Nebraska is the oldest town in the state. The theatre was created out of an old church and has a very intimate, yet creative climate. The theatre celebrates its 36th season in Brownville and audiences come from all 3 states and other surrounding areas to see the productions.
Brownville Company Members
The Brownville Village Theatre is made up of a core theatre company that consists of well-rounded theatre professionals who oversee all the technical aspects of the theatre season as well as acting in the summer-stock productions. This year Brownville Village Theatre will consist of both professionals and educational theatrical company members working side by side to produce 5 shows in true repertory fashion.
True Rep Theatre
Make no mistake, BVT does shows in true rep fashion! One day you're watching Nunsense. That night the set is taken down and another put up and now you're watching Larry Shue's Comedy The Nerd! BVT company members never tire of their roles because they get a variety of them! If they're not on stage, they're helping back stage or out in the house. We instill in our company members the importance of team-work and that becoming a well-rounded thespian increases their chances of longevity in the professional theatre industry. BVT company members succeed with camaraderie, versatility and professionalism.

BVT has been around for 36 years! Past company members have gone on to work in film, TV, theatres across the United States as well as teaching in colleges all over the world.
